Blair NelsonPartner/Founder
Blair is the founder and one of the partners of Blair Nelson Enterprises Ltd. His initiation in the oil and gas industry was in 1968, when as a welder and pipe-fitter, he worked for various pipeline and oilfield contractors. In 1973, he established himself as an independent contractor, operating compressor stations and doing small maintenance work for Voyager Petroleum Ltd. in the Holden, Alberta area. In 1974, he purchased a backhoe/loader in order to better serve his clients. Mr. Nelson continued to developed his business until 1977 when it was incorporated under the name of Blair Nelson Oilfield Services Ltd.
Ian WalkerPartner/General Manager
Ian has over 37 years of pipeline and oilfield construction experience and is a partner of Blair Nelson Enterprises Ltd. He was initially hired as laborer in 1977, and then trained to operate various types of equipment from 1979 through 1980 when he was promoted to crew foreman. Since 1984, Ian has been managing projects for Blair Nelson Enterprises Ltd. As such Ian brings a wealth of information and knowledge to their clients, the company, and their employees.
Don StachniakSales Manager/Estimator/Safety Manager
Don joined Blair Nelson Enterprises Ltd. in 2005 after working with Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) for 25 years. A NAIT graduate, with a Civil Engineering Technology diploma, his duties evolved over time into design and building of water control structures, project maintenance, inventory control and public relations for both the private sector and government agencies. Don is well versed in environmental issues this, combined with his engineering background, assists the company by ensuring that environmental impact is kept to a minimum.
Mike McKeeverQuality Control Manager
Mike has been involved in the oilfield since 1977, directly involved with welding since 1980 and a valued member of Blair Nelson Enterprises Ltd. for the past 12 years. Mike provides an extensive knowledge in the design and construction of facilities and pipelines.
He has worked on projects such as:
* Swan Hills Waste Plant,
* Judy Creek Gas Plant Expansions and
* Amoco Canada’s Wabasca Heavy Oil Extraction.
